The General Physician in my neighborhood added an extra-bench outside his dispensary, so that patients who were flooding the premises, can at least sit peacefully. n waiting patiently.
People coughing, shivering, pale, sick, groggy, weak, wrapped in shawls....just like any ordinary dispensary/hospital OPD.
It was that extra bench, a bench that's going to sit 6 more patients. It intrigued me. And why.
When one single doctor in this whole of India adds one more bench, this might be happening as a domino effect.
1. Doctor earning 200 bucks more.
2. One more prescription- one more cut.
3. One more MR will get some points/commission.
4. Chemist gets one more bill.
5. One more stockist, transporter, logistics manager, salesman, delivery b
oy get one more order.
5. One more factory will make one more tablet/s
6. One more unit of electricity used in the factory.
7. One more person will get the stamping/printing/ foil work.
8. One more technician/micro biologist would be assured of one more days work.
9. one more basis point movement in the company's stocks. Listed on NYSE, BSE,NIKKEI...etc.
10. One more quarterly results announced, one more percentage rise in the stocks.
11. One more investor happy he made money.
12. One more investor falls sick, hearing about his loss
13. One more Pharma company releases its results
14. Clap clap clap. Results are great.
15. One more guy, while clapping falls down. Injures himself. And is rushed to the nearest clinic. Of the same doctor who added one more bench today.
